Independence Day and the Day of the Death are the two most important festivals that are held annually in the months of September and November, respectively.
The holiday of Cinco De Mayo, The 5th Of May, commemorates the victory of the Mexican militia over the French army at The Battle Of Puebla in 1862. It is primarily a regional holiday celebrated in the Mexican state capital city of Puebla and throughout the state of Puebla.
HOW TO ARRIVE TO PUEBLA
lPuebla is about 136Km from Mexico City by the toll route 150 D. This same freeway continues toward Córdoba and Veracruz.
You can also arrive from Mexico City to Puebla, by the federal highway (take the deviation at the Zaragoza avenue).
If you are coming by plane, one you are at the International Airport Benito Juarez in México City, you can arrive to Puebla by car.

Cathedral of Immaculate Conception
Built between 1575 and 1649 AD, this is the second largest cathedral of Mexico. The bas-relief figures of Spain's celebrated kings and its Barroque style of architecture are the biggest attractions of this unique monument.
Palafox Library
Housed in the Archdiocese Palace (south of the Cathedral), this library was founded in 1646 AD, and contains a wide collection of antique books.
Rosary Chapel
One of the finest examples of Mexican Barroque style, The Rosary Chapel is covered from top to bottom in gold leaf, tiles, and woodwork. Constructed in the year 1690, it holds a special place in the architectural history of this region.
Amparo Museum
This is a modern museum that houses artefacts from the Pre - Columbian, colonial, and modern era of Mexico. It also has a great collection of books that date back to 16th and 17th century.

Africam Safari Zoo
It was founded in 1972. It has been built under the supervision of technicians who have tried to transplant part of Africa in Mexico by selecting animals which can adapt to the existing environmental and topographic conditions. Thanks to this supervision many species have adopted and several of them are reproducing within the park. At present Africam Safari has approximately 3000 animals of approximately 250 species and is growing constantly. In addition to this it is meeting the modern zoo’s objectives: conservation, investigation, education and
recreation.
